(SKAGIT COUNTY)- The Skagit County Planning Commission will be meeting on Tuesday, November 18, at 6 p.m.
Skagit County is conducting Planning Commission meetings in a hybrid format, according to a news release from the county. The Planning Commission is hosting meetings in the Skagit County Commissioners’ Hearing Room at 1800 Continental Place in Mount Vernon. You may also participate online via Zoom or live stream on Skagit 21.
The Planning Commission will be holding a work session to discuss a proposed amendment to the 2025 Comprehensive Plan by removing Policy 7A 1.2 from the Housing Element to facilitate a settlement agreement in response to an appeal before the Growth Management Hearings Board. The Planning Commission will also be holding a public hearing and deliberations to provide a recommendation regarding to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the 2026-2031 Draft Capital Facilities Plan update. The Planning Commission will be deliberating on a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the Agritourism code amendments. The public is welcome to participate online or in person in the Skagit County Commissioners' Hearing Room. If you wish to provide verbal testimony, please send an email to pdscomments@co.skagit.wa.us, with your name, phone number, and include a request to be added to the speakers list in the body of the email. You can also sign up to testify in person at the hearing. Public hearing testimony is usually limited to three minutes, so written comments are preferred.
