(SEATTLE)- Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald gave an update on veteran defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, according to seahawks.com. Hankins, who opened the season on the non-football injury list due to a back injury, will not play this season. "Hank won't be back this year," Macdonald said. Asked if the back injury is potentially career-threatening, Macdonald said, "I hope not. The back is tricky. If it's not working, it's not a fun situation to be in, so I wish him the best."   read more

(SEATTLE)- Josh Naylor and the Mariners finalized a five-year free-agent contract on Monday, the club announced, after he completed a physical in Seattle, according to mariners.com. The deal is worth $92.5 million, sources told MLB.com on Monday afternoon, but the club did not confirm the value. It also includes a full no-trade clause.   read more
