Tim Babcock, former Skagit Valley College Men’s Soccer Player and Coach, to be inducted into the 2021 Northwest Athletic Conference Hall of Fame

(MOUNT VERNON)- Skagit Valley College Athletic Department and the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) announced that SVC Men’s Soccer Player and Coach, Tim Babcock, will be inducted into the NWAC Hall of Fame virtually on June 23, 2021.

Tim is a 1988 graduate of Monroe High School and played soccer at SVC during the 1988 and 1989 seasons. He won the North Region titles both years, along with the NWAACC Championship in 1988, taking 2 nd in 1989. In 1988, he was named 1st Team North Region Forward and the NWAACC Tournament MVP. The following year, Tim was selected as the 1st Team North Region Forward. He went on to play at the University of Washington in 1990 and 1991 and then professionally for the Seattle SeaDogs. In 1998, Tim served as Men’s Soccer Head Coach for the NWAACC Champion SVC Cardinals.

In addition to Tim Babcock, the 2021 NWAC Hall of Fame Class includes: Rick Anderson, (Everett Community College, Baseball Student-Athlete), Dr. Peter Dufour (Olympic College, Track & Field Student-Athlete); Shirley Hauter (Everett Community College Multi-Sport Student-Athlete); Mark Poth (Big Bend Community College, Basketball Coach); Larry Walker (Everett Community College, Contributor). Team inductees: 1948-1949 Olympic College Men’s Basketball Team; 1952 Everett Community College Football Team.
